Painting within the lines

Okay so today I have pictures of my first trial with the product liquid palisade. I must say that on initial encounters, it is not what I was expecting at all! As you can see from my earlier post, liquid palisade comes in a bottle that looks a lot like mascara. From unscrewing the lid you find a brush attached to the lid which is extremely thin (much like a nail art brush). The formula of the liquid was very thin and watery - I expected it to be much THICKER! Painting on the liquid palisade has to be done very carefully, especially if you are trying to outline the edge of your cuticles. As it dries it turns a purplish colour and once it is dry is able to be manipulated a bit. If you have made a bit of an error you are able to push the palisade up against the cuticle.

So here's what it looks like on the nail:
A bit ugly I know! But it certainly does the job. As you might be able to see from this picture, the liquid palisade is not totally dry as it is still a bit pink around the outside of the nail where I have applied it thickly. When it is dry simply put your top coat on and pull the palisade off BEFORE the nail colour is completely dry.

This is the same nail with OPI's Koala Bear-y applied. I think the liquid palisade made my mani very neat and tidy- yay! As for the colour, this is one of my favourites in my collection! Such a beautiful formula, what you see here is only 1 coat. It is a gorgeous pinky-red.

Well this was only my first attempt at using liquid palisade so with practice I hope to get a bit better, however as you can see, pretty good results even from a first try!

So what do you guys think? Have any of you tried out liquid palisade? I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks guys!
Claire
